August Photo Diary (Part I) - San Francisco, Theater, and the Ocean

Hello again! So much has happened in the past month, and I figured that pictures would express better (and quicker) a few of the highlights of the last month.

1. I built San Francisco.
(Above: my dad helping us build the bridge. To the left is a friend, while pictured right is my Chilean sister)

(Above: Spray-painting the bridge)

(Above: Me - happy face, as usual, in the backyard waiting for the paint to dry)

(Above: The group members, exhausted but proud, of our hours of work that Sunday)

 2. I learned the Abbreviated History of Chile...

My mom, younger Chilean sister, and I spent an evening at a small theater in central Santiago experiencing the 'Pequena Historia de Chile' told by five actors. Really lively, great dance sequences, and amazing talent from one of the actors whose impersonation of a man in a hurricane was impressive.

(Above: one of the scenes where one of the actors who portrayed a Chilean headmistress figuratively dies after her discover that her students have almost no knowledge of Chilean history)
(Note the chalkboard, with three diagrams of Chile. The horizontal one was really notable to me, because it presented a completely new perspective of the country)

(Above: The man on the far right is the really talented actor who added energy to the show)

(Above: patriotism, as they are singing the national anthem and shouting motivational phrases)

3. I spent a relaxing weekend by the beach (more information in the last blog)

More coming soon!
